MINDFUL MONDAY -
"I am not my thoughts". I know sometimes we can be flooded or overwhelmed by our thoughts. It can be difficult, especially if they are negative ones. I can completely relate. Remembering this affirmation has helped me get through those negative thoughts.
It is completely normal to have thoughts coming in during your day. Our brains are always working. Research has found we have more than 6,000 thoughts per day! Of those, "80% are negative, and 95% are the same as the day before."
If you're overthinking and worrying, try out this simple exercise. It will show you that your thoughts are just that - a thought.
-Think to yourself, " I can't lift my arm". Then, lift your arm.
-Think to yourself, "I can't wiggle my toes". Then, wiggle your toes.
It may seem silly, but it will remind you that your thoughts are just thoughts, and not truth. You got this!

Try to be present and notice your emotions this week. It is totally normal to experience many different emotions throughout one day. Just be patient, and notice how they feel. Did something trigger the emotion? Is it uncomfortable? Do you feel happy? Sad? Notice them without judgement & remember they are temporary.
